Well, I'm planning(key word) to get both a Scythe Infinty 2 for quietness, and a graphics upgrade. Any suggestions as to what I should get seeing as HD4850s are scare but there really isn't a replacement for it?
I'd say you should try hold out on the graphics till into the new year and see what the market is like. It's got to get better than it is right now.
I agree with with Slizza, wait another 3 months or so. Hopefully TSMC will have sorted their 40nm yield issues out and Nvidia will have their Fermi range of DX11 cards on the market. You will have the choice of a 5850 (at a reasonable price) or the Nvidia equivalent. Of course on the other hand I may be a hopeless optimist and nothing may have changed.
