Can anyone recommend a company for the MCSE one which they have had experience with? So many results and each site boasts 10x reviews from previous students, its hard to find the diamond in the rough.
Depends how you like to learn really, A self-paced book may be better for you than a training centre! Which reminds me, I need to start thinking about my 70-680 soon.
I studied my MCSE myself, took me about 8-9 months. I used books and CBTNuggets mainly. TBH I'd look to the MCITP now, it's beginning to gain traction, it's only 5 exams to the MCSEs 7 and assuming it takes you 6 months to complete your MCSE then it'll be about a year from being depricated.
Hmm, yes and no. It's no substitue for experience but if you're up against someone with experience only and you have experience and the MCSE then it's likely you'll get the job. Plus if you actually study for it then you'll learn some useful stuff like deploying a PKI that isn't a particularly easy thing to do.
