CPU phenom II 940 or 955

    Looking at processors to upgrade my 6000+. Some places still have the 940 in stock and almost £20 cheaper. Wasn't the 940 a BE processor? If so would it be worth me getting over the 955? I fully intend to stick with the what ever quad I go for, for as long as possible before rebuilding.

    well i would go for the 955 as the extra performace i heard is worth it. as the 955 gives ruthly the same performace as the 965 so 955 for me

    they are both BE cpu's. I would just go for the 955

    how much extra performance would the 955 give over the 940?
