No big deal. It's been almost 2 yrs now. I was kinda hoping that Creative Mods got big enough in it's time that I would find some info on it's demise and what happened to SpOom (thats the way ho typed it). At this point I think I'm going to see if the domain name is still registered and if soo can I buy it and possibly learn how to restart/build a website. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY like this site as well as Pcapex but for some reason, I comsider CM a kind of home, since it was the site that I first was introduced to modding and was able to get to the point of bieng a moderator. I think I'm just too nostalgic regarding the internet.
I remember Creative Mods! That was the first site that introduced me to modding! I miss it. Right now the domain is parked, so you would have to see what company owns it. Thanks for the nostalgic look back! I miss moderating there,I got to save questionable pic's in the babe thread before I edited or removed them I'm considering buying the domain name and trying to restart the site, just don't know how much it will cost or if I can afford it.
enom allows you to backorder it. However, they may require you to buy a package as well(looks like you don't have to. Normally domains are 8.99 a year. You can get hosting pretty cheap, but the cheap ones arent the best. Seems like the domain name is going for $69 right now.
Well I checked out variants in spelling of Creative mods, and easy to find ones are available (not registered) Just to keep them that way I'll pass on mentioning the ones I'm thinking of right now. My BIGGEST problem is I have no clue how to build or maintain a website like...well like this one or like CM was If I do this It definitly won't be to compete with other sites but to try and be an introductory type site to modding. CM had alot of newbies and alot of frequent expierenced modders and was a simple easy to navigate site. With (In my opinion) had a well knit core bunch of regulars who were very willing to answer the simplest of questions. I'm also thinking of eventually having a store to buy modding supplies, like fans,lighting kits,basic cooling stuff,cheap moddable cases, as well as offer any services fellow members would like to offer like wiring up an LCD for a mod or doing a custom cutout for a less expierenced modder as far as dremmling goes. Just a nice simply constructed easy to navigate site with (this is a must!) limited self hosting of pic's!! So you don't need to figure out how to link from Photobucket or whatever. Well thats the dream anyway...

Cheesecake = Awesome. This forum seems to have a thing for it. We also have a "deity" called Relix. He too is awesome, end of argument. creativemods.net isn't taken, I would go for that. I could help with a website. I know doing it with Wordpress would be relatively easy, just incorporating Forums would be a little harder.
