Does anyone here participate in Final Battlegrounds? I've never paid any attention, because it always looked like a ranking plugin to me, and ranking plugins give me the fear. Anyway Al seems pretty interested, and I don't really have an opinion. So before I get all emotive and retreat far into the tower of OMG NO some opinion on the system would be nice. It has been mentioned before, but no one really knew anything about it back then. Maybe things have changed? (Also the last time someone posted about it one of the devs turned up and there was drama. Drama is always good).
I registered for it for the VIA servers a long while back. Since then, I've not used it for a single thing. It would only encourage stat whoring in my opinion, which is one of the best things about CPC, in that there are none just now. My thoughts anyways...
Its not easy on the spam in my experience, plus I think stats on a fun public server leads to less fun and more cheats.
ranking in any form attracts tossers, dissuades team play in favour of the oh so important look at me I haven't even seen a girls front bum kill death ratio.

Having no stats, no "****" (rank) and no stupid sounds is what make the CPC server good ... so nah keep it as it is
Keeping the server free of useless mods like stats and bets makes it stand out in a good way. Those really obsessed with such trivialities can just go to gametracker, but where possible you don't want to remind people about their KDR, lest we face naught but spawn campers round on round.
Agreed, We have it on the OnW server and yep its brings a fair few cheaters with it. tbh im not really intrested in it, I just signed up because i was asked to. I think CPC is best off without it.
stat mods are never right anyways.... i always end up in the top 50 players, (100 on servers with more people) and that cant be right, im aweful at CS
