How easy/difficult is it to swap the screens on these. A ) Is it possible ? B ) Is it possible for me with virtual no soldering ability ? C ) Can anyone make one for me , or link me to a premade supplier ? Cheers for any advice
A) it is possible B) yes, all you would have to do is de-solder the crotroller the resolder on the new screen C) i could make you this controller here http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=115461 or i could sell you the one i made a few years ago that still works. I can send you pics of it if you want. however mine is attatched to a 4x16 screen
I need it to be either red text on black background or black text on red background. 20x4 16x2 16x4 whatever.. The linked one looks fine, if it runs off LCDC or LCD Smartie etc. Needs to fit behind a single 51/2" bezel. Drop me a pm if you can help, happy to pay. Cheers.
