    Hello,
My girlfriends laptop has Linux (ubuntu) on it. She wants to goto Winxp.
I tried to install it for her but had issues with different drive format types.
What do I have to do to install winxp?
It kept telling me that the drive didn't have a partition that was able to install xp onto it.

Sounds like the whole hard drive is dedicated to linux right now..
If the goal is to completely remove linux in favor of XP, then tell XP to delete all partitions, then go ahead and make new one(s) and install XP on one of them..

Do note though, that this will delete ALL and i do mean all data on the hard drive, so be triple sure you backed up everything you could ever need to CDs, DVDs, external drive etcc..

    Ok,
there were three partitions. I knew what was on one of them so i was only trying to kill that one. I'll delete all three and go from there.

    Thanks!
