thanks! it took maybe 2 minutes. The software is very simple with very little control- which i don't really like (keyshot). But it produces nice looking renders that a child could do. burnout: i fell in love with alibre standard... for $100 its darn powerful for drawing. just wish there was a kerkythea for it blender was... a little difficult to learn considering how much time i was interested in investing in it. Heres a chilly1 evaporator wit h a snap ring on it heres another
i thought it might be intressting to some people, here's a tutorial i made about setting up a "studio" rendering scene : http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=190749
I'd post quotes with this but it would fill up a lot of space. I'd just like to thank all of you! This thread is very important to people like me who are just getting into this. It's one thing to learn an app like say, Sketchup or invest all the time required to learn any app, then the render app comes into play. Not just for the OMG factor. But in helping to make material choices, color schemes and the like. A better sense of the geometry of what your about to spend money on to build. again, Thanks to all!
golf pride grip + scotty cameron shaft. do this in sketchup I need to figure out how to get the "golf pride" letters white though.
This thread got me started on modeling. I love it now. Only started last week as I was off work, so I put a bit of time into learning and modeling. The best I have done so far is this 19" wheel. Couldnt get good rendering though, and ideas? Im using solidworks and photoview360 for the render. This one is the first render I did, didnt have the center cap or wheel nuts on this one. With center cap This is the last one I did, a deeper dish one. How can I get better renders? What is a good program to use with it? I have tried blender, but I couldnt get it working. Thanks
Best Places for me to find good guides were found on youtube. Google has decent video tutorials as well as Sketchup for dummies vids. KU is a hit and miss affair. Haven't got it down yet myself but making decent progress. Get on the forums and start asking the questions. Again, google it. Take your time and you will find!
As said before , use YouTube & Google for searching . Also read this thread @ Kerkythea forum , very useful
Settings in PhotoView 360 allow for rotation of the environment, these options are not under the environment, but settings>environment settings. Also go for a neutral background.
Few more renders, 3ds max and mental ray. Clickety-click. My newest and best imo. Interior with daylight system test. Studio Lighting test. C&C welcome! Mystiik
Not liking that shadow? If you're using 3ds max, try Adv. Ray Traced shadows and fiddle with the params
Anyone else have another program suggestion for some one fairly new to 3d rendering? Ive been using kerkythea but im fed up. Lil quirks that are a pain. Like silver brushed aluminum is black on the preview but silver after its rendered. etc etc. Looking for other software that maybe ill get the hang of better
For what cad software? sketchup i assume but it would be wack to get a good response that doesn't apply to you
