You can use just about anything, It will be harder, but look at what stone masons created many centuries ago with limited tooling, in the architecture of old Churches & Cathedrals . It's really down to your own skill with what you use, patience levels, and how long you are willing to spend on it. ;)

Waterblock - heater transfer component in a watercooling system. Usualy cools the cpu, gpu *graphics card*, northbridge *motherboard*, ram, or harddrives.....

Basically it's a lump of metal which you strap to your processor* and pass water through. Water's much better at carrying heat away than air, so it's a good way to stop your CPU from getting a tan :)

    Rob.

*or anywhere that could need cooling, GPU, hard drive, northbridge, the voltage regulators in a power supply... some people try teir best to put one on everything :)

Ok..... I suppose some of us do get just a little carried away with the water-cooling everything in sight :hehe:

Where can you get size specifications for drilling the mounting holes and other measurements?

I took the measurements straight from a motherboard. A quick look at www.formfactors.org didn't turn up anything, but I'm sure there's info there somewhere! Alternatively you could try motherboard manufacturers websites. Maybe download a manual or specs from there.

I get my copper stock from Smiths Metals in person at the Norwich branch near to where I live. They do however have minium order amounts / costs, and shipping could get costly due to the weight.

I do intend re-selling the copper stock I have to modders in sizes they require at a % more than it costs me through my website soon. If you want more details you can e-mail me

Sorry guys, I haven't been ignoring you, just busy on my new case. As soon as I can, I will get some photos up of installation, etc. Phat, i got my copper from a local scrap metal dealer. He said it was called "buzz bar" if that helps?! Probably best to visit a couple of places coz they may not want to sell it to the public, so go down there and be cheeky!:hehe: If not, you could try somewhere like http://www.mailordermetals.co.uk/ They don't have any big enough on the web site, but maybe do a special order?

Edit, ok too slow! Just ignore me:blush:
