    Hi all,

As you can see am fairly new here to the forums but have been lurking here for quite awhile now. Have decided to start a new project called Hydro-Li (sorry if name has been used before by someone). As the name suggests its gonna be a WaterCooled Lian Li, however i hope to make it bigger than big.

As its a case mod i'll start by introducing the case. I picked the Lian-Li X1000 caus of the compartments that i felt would make the mod look all the bit better and like i said the project was to be bigger than big... and omg this case is huge. [IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

However i made a bu-bu on the first day when i decided that i wanted 2 triple rads in this build. Yes and not stealth ones either XSPC RX360's. fat f**kers Unfortunately the X1000 is about an inch too short to mount em horizontally in any compartment. So what do we do...... build another compartment.... on the roof.... with this idea in mind....

    [IMG][/IMG]

    and what does one get...

    [IMG][/IMG]

These are just a few teaser shots guys, Hope you'll bear with me caus am kinda new to photo uploading and logging my work too. I hope you guys can give some feedback.

The rig in question is in my sig, oh and some other parts for fun of coarse.

    [IMG][/IMG]

hope to do a few updates a week but for now I shal love you all and leave you with one last shot just for kicks

please let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks,
    Rip:rock:

    Update 3/9/10

    Hay all.

Got alot of work done today, mainly on the top extension for the 2 Rads which had to be made. I tried to keep it as simple as possible. Have to say my alu work isnt as good as some of the other modders on here like Craigbru and Ang3l, who just cant be beaten when it comes to Alu work among with a few others on here, but skill comes with time so hopeing to stedily improve. The following picutures are of the top extension which will also house a 7" lilliput screen in the front. Keep in mind the top still needs a lengthy hole cut :dremel: in for air intake for which the mesh is already in place on the underside of the alu frame/shroud.

The screen will only really have one function and that is to show how the waterloops are doing using these: Koolance Thermal interface controller boards.

Keep in mind the alu will all be painted matt black to match the case of coarse and there is more then one reason for the air intakes at each side of the screen too but will be revealed soon enough.

Any feedback is appriciated and sorry for the crappy pictures (me is not the best taker of photos)

    Cheers
    Rip

good stuff in here! But the Lian-Li X1000 is already tall, is it good looking "in real" with your alu box on the top? How tall is it overall? That's the only "sensitive" issue I think.

Yeah i know what you mean Exexs. It stands at 81cm tall overall with my extension. The x1000 is 67cm on its own. i think once its painted it will shrink down a little do. will see how it turns out. Thanks do :)

81cm... Dosnt fit under any table! =D Furthermore the case is not deep, it renforce the "tall" aspect I think. But let's see how it looks finished! ;)
