    Hey All

My PC has resently developed a probelm of where it turns it's self back on after being shut down.

When shut down and all fans and noise has stopped 3-5 secs later it starts up again!

Any ideas??? Maybe a Bios Setting????

    Basic spec -

    MB - ASUS P5Q-E
PSU - Be Quiet - Dark Power Pro 650
    CPU - Q9400

    Cheers. ~Dave.

    Hey

I think the setting you are referring to is the - Lan Boot Rom - which is Disabled.

Have you tryed updating the bios?

Also worth checking if the power and reset buttons are causing the problem, that way you can tell if its a hardware or software problem.

Check all the power connections and front port connectors, I had an issue with my previous pc which was similar where if I moved it slightly when it was turned off it would occasionally turn itself back on, the 24pin atx plug was loose.

I've had the same issue with a P5W DH Deluxe, I fixed it by resetting the BIOS. I'm still not sure what actually causes the issue.

    Hope it helps.

I've also had this on 2 different systems. On one was the BIOS battery needed replacing and the other was a faulty PSU.
