Leaves you a good 300 pounds to go. If you arn't running raid you could save a good £20 by getting a 1TB HD instead of 2x 500gb's. If youre willing to leave the graphics till later you could buy the CustomPC Mid-Priced gaming Pc recommended motherboard (Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2), CPU (Intel i5 760) and memory (Corsair XMS3 PC3-12800). Of course unless overclocking it would be best to get cheaper memory (£50?). With all this you would be about £40 under budget.

Thanks darkcutuan but was thinking more alone the lines of affordable recommendations such as 3.0GHz AMD Athlon II X2 250. It is only going to be an everyday family PC. Just need some pointers as to suitable motherboards/ram/processer. Hope this makes sense. Money saved will go towards printer & CISS unit.

thanks darkcutuan but copy & paste from earlier...

As a basic pc how does this sound?

Logitech Deluxe 250 wired keyboard usb black
    380W Antec EarthWatts EA380D Green, 80+ Bronze, ATX12V V2.3 £37
Antec 300 Three Hundred Black Mid Tower Computer Case £47 Quiet & cool (I hope)
    500GB Samsung HD502HJ Spinpoint F3, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB Cache x2 £64
Samsung DVD Writer, SH-S223C/BEBE, SATA, Black, OEM £13
    Microsoft D58-00064, IntelliMouse, Optical Mouse, 400dpi, PS2/ USB, 5 Buttons, White £16
Note have added Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler 24.40 Quiet & cool

Asus M4A78LT-M LE AMD 760G AM3 Motherboard from scan.
It is fairly cheap and does have onboard graphics, but i don't think that it's very good graphics, but if your not gaming i don't think it will be a problem. Just check it has all the expantion slots that you need.

this looks like a good board for you :3

£68 supposedly with Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 GPU according to newegg. It supports memory from 1066MHz through 1800MHz so you have room to upgrade, and it has a pcie 2.0x16 slot if you ever want to get a real graphics card.

Any AM3 socket type processor will fit on it so you have your pick of those.

As for memory, get a dual channel kit (so 2GB or 4GB across 2 sticks), and make it 1066MHz or 1333MHz and it wouldn't cost you more than £100

I also suggest that you do a 1TB Samsung drive unless you have a very specific reason for wanting 2 500GB ones.

Thanks Publ!c Enemy & Dae314 for the taking the time to get back to me. Have been looking at god knows how many motherboards at Scan with not a bloody clue.
The Asus M4A785TD-M EVO AMD 785G AM3 Motherboard with1 x 4pin (V) does that control the fan on the Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler? On the scan site it does not say anything about 3 pin fan control are these missing?
Thanks also for the tip regarding RAM, thought amd needed different ram to intel.

Sorry Dae314I I was incorrect ,scan shows 2 3pin fan (V). Lesson don’t rush my replies before double checking.

Would the Asus M4A78LT-M LE AMD 760G AM3 & the Asus M4A785T-M AMD 785G AM3 boards take the Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler without any issue?

Sorry, I wouldn't be able to tell you about a question that specific, but, in general, the CPU cooler will sometimes hang over into the RAM slots. This presents a problem for people who want 4 RAM sticks or if the dual channel slots on the board include one slot that intersects with the fan. Most of the time though if you're just doing dual channel and the CPU cooler blocks off a RAM slot then it's not really a problem. Someone else here might be able to give you a better answer for your specific situation.
