i have a project i'm about to start work on, and i just need to know how to get the air temperature inside the case as low as possible. any help is appreciated.
It is fairly simple. Just make sure you have plenty of ventilation i.e case fans nearby heat sources such as GFX card, CPU, Hard Drive (Especially RAID/ SCSI).
just make sure you got a high flow of air through your case, 4 120mm fans on thie side blowing air in and 4 on the top exhausting air out should do it
bloody hell thats a bit overkill isnt it? Vadim, you could look into watercooling if u have the guts/money/insanity
well, thing is i'm trying to get sub 10C temps in there. it's acctually just the case, no computer componants, as i'm planning on making it into a mini-fridge. prolly could have said that in my first post, but...
How exactly are you going about getting sub 10c temps...You wont be blowing room air in there as it will be room temp *if your rooms sub 10c your crazy*....Need some sort of air chiller.... Might I ask what the outcome of this project is supposed to be?
i know i need some sort of air chiller, just dont know what type or how to rig it up. i have one idea that involves a small AC, which might work. not sure if i can find one small enough tho.
Insulate the sides with fiberglass, use a phase change cooler, and cover all of the holes. It would be better to mod a minifridge into a case than the other way around.
i know, it's prolly cheaper to just go out and buy a minifridge, but then i'd still have this steel monster sitting in my room with nothing to do.
i was curious as that to if your actually gonna put computer parts in it....it would be better imo just to cool liquid that cools the cpu/gpu/whatever you need cooled instead of trying to cool the entire case
i agree with that, but i posted in here as this seemed like the best place to find people who know abnout making stuff cold.
I think I may be confused *considering my week its no suprise* Are you trying to cool the cpu, ect... to sub 10c or have the case temp 10c and air cool the processor?
