right, I'm going to be ordering a bunch of stuff from ebuyer shortly, including an ASUS A7N8X, 256MB 333 Samsung original, 80GB Maxtor Plus 9, and XP 2100...

however, I dont think ebuyer sell the 2100 T-bred... can anyone let me know if they do, or if not can someone tell me where in the UK i can purchase one from...

my intention is to overclock it a fair amount and take full advantage of the nforce 2 :)

www.cclcomputers.co.uk have it for a pretty reasonable price - although there is a good chance that ebuyer's 2200 tbred is of the 'b' variety - it's less money too iirc.

The XP 2200's are all Thoroughbred-A, I'm fairly sure.

they def were from the start, but then they bought out the T-Bred Bs, i'm guessing the 2200 uses the B revision now??

This thread at Overclockers says that no-one has seen any 2200+ TBred-B's yet:

Personally, I've never seen anybody talking about 2200+ TBred-B's on any forums. I could be very wrong here (it's happened before), but I say that if you want to guarantee a TBred-B, just get a 2400+. They are great. :D

    Good luck either way!

edit: My overclock is so pitiful because all I did was bump the multiplier from 15x to 16x. My memory and cooling won't let me do much more and stay 100% stable, sadly...

Go with that then, definitely. :D

(The AIUHB stepping overclocks like a champion - that's the one you want if possible.)

    edit: swear filter... grrr

the 2100 tbred b is a really nice chip. i've got one, it's running at 2.08G, not a single problem, and it's 32 idle 35 full load.

i have LOADS of fans in my full tower, but keep most of them turned off for normal use. I may look into upgrading my Taisol HSF, perhaps its a bit dated these days...
