    Hmm that'll give plenty of cash left to go towards an asus xonar essence stx soundcard as well and from what ive read most 580's are the same perfomance wise anyway unless you oc them

    While performance wise all are pretty much the same at stock, the custom cooler and warranty is what you should consider. Ideally you should choose an manufacturer that has a base in UK which you can rma to if needed...and from what I recall, Palit doesn't have a UK base and you'd need to send the card outside of UK for rma or something. Probably best bet is stick with MSI, Asus, Gigabyte etc.

    True good point saving the cash in that way I guess is false economy

    I'd just personally go for the cheapest one as most of them are the same.

    Only diff to look out for is tiny overclock coupled with a revised cooler.

    Most of the overclocks you can do on your own, so not really worth mentioning.

    Value up the cost against, the warranty and the cooler/looks you prefer and buy that one.

    2nd hand ones are coming up for £300 so I'd personally buy the cheapest you can find.
