I don't see the horror in that either.
I once had a pc with a crt monitor, if you touched the monitor with a pencil the computer would reset.
Pretty annoying doing a paper at midnight that is due the next day and you accidentally touch the pencil to the screen.
    I hated that computer....

Oh my god that is sad about the fate of the first pc. As for the one that went to the shooting range Ive had a few systems myself over the years deserve that fate (one got totally smashed with a sledge hammer and a printer ended up being thrown from the 2nd floor balcony). I also have a few customers I wouldnt have minded putting on the range :D

Pity about the dell being melted shut. Would've been an interesting case for future use.

That's the lamest thing I've ever seen! How is a computer burning up in a fire a hardware horror? It doesn't even have anything to do with hardware. Now if the computer had a hardware malfunction that caused a fire that burned down the house that would qualify. Shooting a computer for unspecified problems is even dumber.
Just out of curiosity, is there a pub next door to your new offices in London? Because since you've moved, you've really gone downhill.

I suspect they won on the quality of the photos over the stories behind them.

I guess normal PC problems just don't usually result in particularly dramatic results.

"It won't turn on" doesn't exactly make for a good photo.

I think having to repair those machines after what had happened to them would be the horror, would have been more interesting if we knew why the second one had driven the owner to shoot it.

Did someone learn 'horror' from the more recent Resident Evil games?
The shooting range, really? Real hardware horrors tends to be accidents on the users part.

Taking it to the shooting range really doesn't count as a horror because it's an intentional act and not an accident or other unintentional incident.

Pathetic judgement on this. Neither of these would be understood by anyone as horrific.
