Want to overclock i but wondering how good my cooling system is and how much i would be able to push it.

What would you recommend that i overclock it to?

    Here is my system:

MSI GeForce GTX 580 OC Twin FrozR II 1536MB
XFX Pro 750W Core Edition Power Supply
    Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
    MSI P67A-GD65 Intel P67 (socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
    Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.80GHz
Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Dominator Case - Black

    Thanks

So you have 4.8ghz already? Thats sounds like a very good effort given your cooler.

If you are already up to 4.8GHz and stable, could I ask what vcore you are using and what CPU temps you are getting under load?

Presuming that the vcore and temps are not too high, I'd say you'd done pretty well so far.

+1. Seriously, I wouldn't push it any further unless your case has an arctic wind blowing thru' it. I think it will become unstable. Like most people on here with an i5 2500K, I've got 4.5GHz@1.3 vcore using a Be Quiet Dark Rock Advanced, and although it would probably go to 5.0GHz, it's not something I would risk.
If 4.8 is stable; keep it.
