After Installing my ssd, I found steam.exe in the old drive, and launched it, it installed, but when i click play for the game, It wont work.

Do I have to re-download all 15GB? My internet is shite right now.

Where are your games installed? If the .exe and game files are still in the same place as they were before your SSD then it should work.

Use this to move your games to the SSD if that is what you want to do.

And yes a restart is always the best place to start!

Best method that i found to work was to copy over all of your steam/steamapps folder to a fresh install of steam. That houses all the .gcf files and some settings for your games.
Then simply restart steam and voila, it picks up the .gcf's you moved and should be good to go. I recall mine having to verify the cache before starting a game first time but its a lot quicker than re-downloading again. ;)
