Hi guys I saw the recommended settings for BF3
    Recommended Specifications
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit
    Processor: Quad-core CPU
    Memory: 4GB RAM
    Hard drive: 20GB
Graphics card: DirectX 11-compatible with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950)
    Sound card: DirectX compatible
    Keyboard and mouse
    DVD-ROM drive

I was wondering will my pc be fine to run it on high settings????
    Specs:
    GTX460 1GB
    AMD 955 @ 3.2GHz
    4GB DDR3 Ram
    1600x900 monitor res.

Im very concerned lol because they have said that for ultra settings
you will probably need gtx580 sli and for the recommended specs
you will only get about medium settings on 1920x1080

Also, iirc, they just said that SLIed 580s would run the game at max, not that you needed them to run the game at max. I don't believe they would release a 'CoD-killer' that can't be maxed on current high-end tech.

I'm planning to run on an i5 and GTX570 and I don't anticipate any problems. Probably won't be running on max settings, but not far off.

Should be OK. Your monitor is only ~70% the resolution of a 1920x1080 one, so a 460 will be fine. Might not do the highest settings, but even if it only manages the equivalent of high on BC2, it'll still look awesome.

you can oc the balls off the 460.. it runs 850ish on stock voltage..

the voltage ramps up quite a bit from there though- long as you can keep it under 70-75C gaming

Agreed everyone is running round upgrading there systems before the game is even out lol When in real gaming no one knows how its going to run even with the beta.
I would like to know how much money this game has generated with people upgrading and building new systems  lol

Thats why its rather silly that there arent any new GPUs out to cash in on the release. The beta starts on the 27th so anyone who feels their system wont be up to scratch will have the time to research the options. My own personal opinion is that graphically the game will be magnificent and could well be the biggest graphical leap since Crysis.

Should be alright as long as you mess about with the settings a little, it won't handle max settings though
