Yep, I don't entirely disagree. It definitely went through a lull mid season ,the last couple of episodes were really good though . That sounds like I'm knocking it but, admittedly it wasn't perfect - as you say ,it didn't know what it wanted to be - serious or fantasy. But overall, the concept was good and there's a lack of good space, sci fi TV fare around now.
Simple. Firefly. Not all shows get bad though after getting to a ripe age. MASH for example, even after the last season I always have to sit back and look at my collection and think "Man, thats all, no more..." Another cancelled show that comes to mind but certainly wasnt 'The Best' is a show from a while back called Threshold. I liked it.
MASH was a fantastic show though. Those writers were just fantastic and honestly it was pretty tragic when it ended.
Yeah, it is pretty hard to be as good as MASH, and I guess all todays long lived shows dont come close.
A few people have been pming me saying Eureka is still going (season 5 has started airing or something) See here: http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/08/08/eureka-cancelled/ There were plans for more, but Season 5 is the last
Damn shouldn't have read this thread, want to watch stuff I no longer have now Things like: Stargate (Adidan, I'm coming to your house to watch them all.....one after the other lol) Robot Wars Farscape There some others which escape me at the moment.
Farscape Jericho Flash Forward That is all I can think of. Most series I stop watching by season 3, simplye because they start getting too filled then. Examples: Lost, Heores, Fringe
I enjoyed robot wars so much as a kid. I has the membership. Anyway, a friend recently introduced me to a show called clone high, it got cancelled after 13 episodes. It was absolutely amazing though!
+Stargate Universe Canning it was a travesty of justice Yes it was slow to start, and yes it wasn't at all like previous Stargates...but who said it had to be? In it's own right it really started to get good in second season, and just as the following and enjoyment were building..they pulled the plug. A real shame and a show I will really miss. -Heroes This show essentially died when the wrapped up season 2 excessively quickly due to the writer's strike....for me the pacing and storyline never recovered and it deserved to go.
Did anyone else like The Dresden Files? PS: Firefly (one of the few things i can watch again and again)
I'll be really boring and say Firefly, and the fact that Joss Whedon killed off some of the main characters in Serenity makes me think that the series has no chance of a revival.
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Firefly Lie To Me Stargate Universe Flash Forward Chicago Code Human Target Heroes Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Jericho the new V The Event Reaper Eureka Dark Angel Las Vegas Threshold American Gothic Defying gravity That's my list. Studio 60 and Firefly being cancelled were probably the two biggest disappointments.
