Motherboards Looking for a new motherboard

    So I want to make some research before replacing my crappy Asus P5K.

    Rig: q6600, 9800GTX+, Asus P5K, 4GB of no name ram and custom WC for CPU.

    So question is, which mobo should I get to increase my performance in games and speed up rendering with software like After Effects or 3Ds max. I am also looking for new rams, It's complicated to get specific motherboard models in Lithuania or even RAMs.. So give me some tips what should I look for and what to avoid.

    LGA775? You'll only be able to get G41 chipset boards now unless you upgrade CPU.

    how about nForce 680i/P45 ones?

    Yes you can of course, but they won't be new because P45 and 680i were discontinued a long while ago. In that case see what eBay has or maybe b-grade stock around stores. :thumb:
