Turned my PC on this morning and my soundcard (Asus Xonar DS) had stopped working.

Tryed to reinstall the drivers, still no luck.

Uninstalled everything, ran CC cleaner on the registry, took out sound card...

    Reinstalled everything, still not working.

The only thing I did yesterday was to do the Windows Updates and to update my ATI drivers. It was working perfectly yesterday evening.

I can't even get onboard sound to work now.

ALL I WANT TO DO IS PLAY STARWARS!

    :(

Got my onboard sound working now but if anyone could shed any light to why the Xonar DS doesn't want to play anymore, that would be awesome

Does the soundcard show up in the playback tab of the Sound window? And does it show up in the Device Manager?

ummm sounds like a driver issue, but in my experience taking the card out and leaving it for 24hrs to allow the capacitors to drain can sometimes do the trick.
