@ Cheapskate : Thank you I know this site, but i am afraid to use many parts of this side in my modell. My PC is very old The mainboard is from this side. @ GuilleAcoustic : I had a similar idea. The "book" of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, with an integrated 15" Touchscreen
Projekt Engel Good evening Boys & Girls, here is something different from my first case con. I call it "Engel" The case is not finished yet. But here two little previews: This is a view on top of the case : And this from the back with open hdd access : TO-DOs - Angels wings on both sides - nice front panel I hope that i may post the final renders to the january 12 Yen Lo Wang
Umm, I don't think your designs really belong in this small form factor contest, they don't adhere to the theme and just look like normal/large custom cases- might be better to put them in their own thread featuring your designs...
I didn't unterstand the contest as an sff contest But you are right. I will open my own thread with a little project. No sketchup more pro/Engineer Perhaps I get a idea of a sff case. We will see.
SFF with mATX is not that easy to be honest. You have to make some sacrifice. I have another idea I want to try with a completly different purpose. EDIT : Ok here it comes it a very early state. An all-in-one computer with acquisition cards and built-in bench PSU.
Year, this is my opinon, too. A µATX isn't realy a ssf board ... its between ... like GuilleAcoustic said, with some sacrifice it is possible to build a sff case. I dont like sacrifices...
Nice one there Dark . I'm very tempted to try indigo. Thea is nice but Indigo seams better (and is not very expensive).
thanks ! you should, I haven't played around with it much but so far I like it, way better than Kerkythea.
future humidore Year it is a little nice red devil Dark~3nergy So because, my posts are still moderated, i post my last "renders" 12 hours before the deadline. I take the comments to heart and the last case is without any glamour. I call it "future humidore", because of the shape. Sorry for the low quality of the renders. But Indigo is too much for my pc. Its a little big to "fat" to be a sff. Its about 11 L ... with more time, i am sure that i am able to reduce the volume. It has 4 x 80mm radiators, one M2-ATX 160W Power Supply and two ssd's. Here is the wireframe of the case I hope the community like this case and ... May be the force be with you ... ähm .. may the best win
Isn't the deadline set on the 21st ? Here is a little update on my electronic all-in-one devel studio : There will be a mu-metal shielding between the "computer" area and the bench-PSU area. The bench PSU is a single channel symetrical one (example -12V - 0 - +12V). The computer part will house 2x PCI multifunction DAQ card with low-profile form factor (VECOW MP-6675 far exmaple). With th esuited software it could then act as an oscilloscope. Hope you like the concept .
Oohhh bloody hell ... You are right. I have to mush stress at work. So i am not able to read the correct date. This give me a great opportunity for the finishing Hip Hip Hurra Goal : lower then 10 L I like your design. It is similar to some instruments here at my work.
some progress YenLoWang, thanks ^^ Looks like you used a 100% black material in your render, you should brighten it up a bit like 97% black. GuilleAcoustic, that looks nice, i like the front.
Hehe ... there's still time . Thanks for your kind words. I did use National Instrument PXI chassis at work and they are great piece of hardware, but lacks a built-in bench PSU. This could be a replacement for more modest use. Thanks a lot. I'll try Indigo when I'm done with the design. Maybe I'll botter you for some tips . Edit : I made the front fins thicker, I think it looks better this way
@Dark~3nergy : I had the possibilies : orange/black and orange white, the other combinations aren't acceptable ... Its a lot of black. With a little more illumination and more orange accents the whole case would look nicer. @GuilleAcoustic : We have no NI. We use IMC Soft&Hardware And yes the thicker ones are better.
M-ATX is indeed SFF, IF you get the case right. Hell, I'm about to purchase a 12.5L m-atx case General consensus over at losias.net is that SFF is anything below 20L, OR an uber small case for a big system (like an e-atx mobo in a 25L case) Looking good guys Will update my entry some point soon
