Wasn't the (LEGENDARY) Orac3 mod based on a ClearComputerCase C3? If so, technically it qualifies :D

That was nearly 8 years ago, scary stuff! That mod was a game changer.

Is it not sufficient just to have a "Scratchbuilt" section. To further categorise would be to depreciate I feel as some Scratch builds are simply too unique to be put into any one box

Best way, to capture new builds, would be to just add an optional set of form boxes when you create a new thread in the mod section.

Scratch could be subdivided by the primary material used.

    Aluminum
    steel
    plexi
    pvc
    mdf
    wood
salvage (Alonso Bistro stuff, possibly have a model-style sub category)
    carbon fiber
    fiberglass
    cardboard
    CNC
found object, for example toilets and mannequins

Steampunk, laptop, and Pico need a category too.:D

Funny something like this should pop up. I was planning on getting a bit more creative for my next build and with some of the examples given, I have drawn some inspiration from them already.

The plan is for a scratch build, some simple mods :)dremel:) and perhaps some water cooling. Something gentle to break me in. I'll post a work log for some constructive feedback and pointers. Then maybe one day, something a bit more exotic!

You have also missed out the Misc category where people have just bought cheap cases with no brand name and modded them...

The guide has become a great reference tool. I needed to refer to some specific projects this morning. Please keep contributing! :thumb:

the proper use of frosted sticker on acrylic can be a great tool to give the case lighting an aesthetic look
