Hey another question by me, im looking to replace my ageing Antec Truepower 850w PSU. its given me 3+ yearsw of great service but its a lot bigger then the PSUs now available (180mm length) and its not fully modular. It was a pain to install in my tiny TJ08-E, what do you guys recommend i really would like it to be under £100. Was looking at the corsair AX850 but its £149!!!

Well, i initially planed to suggest you the Seasonic X, but it is at same or higher price level, while being pretty much the same (Corsair AX650,750 and 850 are made by Seasonic based on X-Series design).

Seriously, there is nothing better on the market, the semi-passive mode, the ultrasilent operation of these power supplies, the long warranty. Buying this PSU is like buying a good IPS display - you will switch few computers while using the same PSU.

If you're going for fully modular to sleeve it then the Silverstone Strider is the best one for that. It's the only one to have full ATX spec 1 to 1 cabling on the plugs. After saying that there's probably capacitors on the PCIE cable to help suppress ripple but you can remove them with apparently little loss in performance.
