    Hello All Bit's!

I'm new here and thought that i could share my Build with you guys!

So welcome to my first ever scratchbuild! I'm not much of a wrighter so i will keep this short!

A few weeks ago i figured out i wanna do my own computercase becouse of all the cases out there is just not good enaugh, there is to much flaws! So i ended up with a 6 meter long board of Bamboo and a fairly awesume sketchup sketch!

And this is where this project takes it start!
    Raw material:
    Some cutting have been done:
    Turned out PRETTY okay:

When it comes to hardware NOTHING is writen in stone, but i've got some spare parts:

    What GPU? anyone? ;D
    [IMG]

saw... saw... saw... (not the movie)

been thinking and redesigning during the weekend, so not so much woodcrafting but ive atleast had time to cut some panels :dremel:

im a little bit concerned when the case is getting close to the same hight as my couch:

This is all for me to begin with, much will be changed and alot will be comeing!

Welcome to BT Linus :) I like the style of your design and that bamboo looks delicious :D

:: you may want to resize your images a little though as people with less forunate connections might struggle with 3872x2592 :p
the final picture you posted in the series was perfect :D

The fans with the bamboo casing are pretty telling that this is going to be a great build.

    Nice.

i really like the mod you did the the fans. Although i wonder if they'll still perform the same chopped up like that.

Interesting choice of material. How is working with bamboo? I love the look of the "naked" fans by the way.

You had me right up to the point you carved a logo into the wood. -Not a fan of logos, unless it's one you made yourself.

The nested fans are a nice touch.

I'm with cheaps, not a big fan of logos. But what might look cool is if you could fill the milled logo space with black acrylic or satin finished aluminum. Something like what slipperyskip did with his Level Eleven case. I love the look aluminum and wood.

Thank you so much, bamboo is a beautiful material!

I also think it looks so nice, woulden't be even close if i mounted them "unmodded" behind the bamboo panel!
There will be so much radiator surface that there is no point of crying over 2-3% in lost performance!

I'm glad you like my material choise! Bamboo is so freakin' hard! i thought Oak was hard......
It's also like a plywood structure that makes it hard to work with due to bits falling of if you mill to fast or whatever, you need to be careful and prepair yourself for a SLOW ride on the milling machine becouse it's so darn hard!

The logo will be something speciall, i think you like the outcome!
Glad you atleast like the fans ;)

Hmm, this might be something to check in on to get some inspiration!
Also i know not many like logos but they are there for a reason and i frankly don't see a problem with it! Everything is still hand made! ;)

Glad you like it and welcome back for continious comments! :thumb:

Did some milling to one of the sidepanels today, to fit a 4mm hard-coated polycarbonate window to the case, more will come :dremel:

Also i spent almost an hour sanding of those edges of the cut, you can lik on 'em now without getting sticks in your tongue ;)

Hopefully i will finish both sidepanels tomorrow after work!

Looking good! It looks bigger than I thought it would. Have you done all the routing by hand?
