Hi all, something interesting has come up regarding my build and i would like to get all your advice, due to a convulated issue involving some crap with payments and such rubbish, i have the option with my retailer to either keep my (recently bought) current card at reduced price or part exchange for a new one.
    options are: GTX 580 3GB (reduced price), GTX 670 4GB, GTX 680 2GB
my system has a OC i5 2500k and i game at 2560 x 1600 (30inch:rock:), i know at this resolution, vram makes a bigger difference but im not sure how much so im asking for your advice on this, ty.

I'll be testing my Gigabyte GTX 670 2GB lots this week, but my initial impressions are very positive!

The 2GB appears to be very capable at 1440p.

the GTX 580 is a Gainward Phantom and im being offered 40 quid (pounds) off, the GTX 670/680 would be a stock cooler Evga or Gainward.

In terms of cost, they're all around the same!

EVGA GTX 670 4GB would be slightly ahead of the pack. Comparable performance to the GTX 680 with double the VRAM. Also be easy to sell on if you tire of it because the big resale point is the transfer of warranty that EVGA offer. Be sure to register it and it'll be good value for 3 years if I'm not mistaken! :thumb:

    4GB GTX 670. It's like a GTX680 but less money. :)

Plus chances are you're getting a GTX680 board anyhow.
