I got this case a couple of years ago and just painted it black with some fan holes(Don't have any of those pics but here is how it looked untouched)

Well I got the itch to re-mod it and have been doing so off and on for a couple months.. I can now pick up the pace as the weather turns good here(Ohio). I have SOO much left to do :) Heres the case semi primered and the front bezel with 65% of the bondo work done.

And heres a pic of the sides and top that still need to be sanded down to bare metal for painting. And thats after I decide what I going to do with the old fan holes! I don't need any of them so lots of windows or.....something else :eeek:

And heres some of the stuff that will end up in the case(about a 1/4 of the stuff I need)

After I bondo the rest of the bezel and a couple of spots on the frame, the frame will get primered and painted with the metal cast red. While the sides and bezel will be getting a flat/satin black and the drive bays will be brushed Alu matching the Vandal switches. I'll also be cutting the "slotted" area of the two case sides out(It's up near the drive cages) and put in mirror plex windows maybe...

I will be updating this weekly of more.. LMK what you all think, and any suggestions about what to do with all the old fan holes..... besides lots of windows :)

    Thanks
    Kook

You can kinda see the heater core, its to the left under some of the fans I'll be using 2 blowing 2 sucking on the core with two shrouds. And there the 131 CFM 120mm YS Tech ones.

Yeah The Wheel of Time rocked!! I still have to read Winter Heart :)

Heres a better shot of the stuff on the bookcase. I will be making a new Alu front to the retro bus using that blue one in the pic as a guide. And I have to finish fixing up those fan filters they looked like that from the store but on the website it stated they weren't perfect. And.....my heater core still needs some attention.

And heres a shot of the ports cut to size and the texture sanded out. I'm about to bondo the tubes to the front bezel should be fun!

I'll post some shots of that when it done..

bilnv - I just wanted the best air flow thru my HC. I'll be making those shrouds this weekend out of Alu sheets..

What heatercore is that? I'd really like a single pass one for when I redo my setup.

    Looks really good. :D

I've got a caprice core that's about the same size right now. Is that core a 3 pass or 1 pass? I can't tell.

What's your color scheme going to be?
