I have just built a new rig (i7-3770k, ASRock Fatal1ty Pro, 4gb ddr3 1333) and windows baseline scoring gives the ram 5.9, but on my old e6750, Gigabyte P35C-DS3 its scored it 6.2. anyone tell me why? weird, you'd think it'd be faster on the new chipset being that the P35 was one of the first adopters of the ddr3 spec.

I've just thought. The ram in the core 2 duo is running 1:2 ratio but its 1:5 in the new system. Any idea what the best ram is for this chip? And does it need to run in an even ratio like the c2ds?

Nope, it'll run whatever. I go for 1600MHz, as there's a speed boost over 1333, and z77 not supports 1600 by default...
