Isn't that the same size as the 670?

I think the PCB might be but the 670 cooler extends beyond the PCB

It's atleast an inch shorter. I never knew PCB's were so small these days!

GT630 (NOT GTX630) has been out for a few weeks, and is a rebranded Fermi card. 96 cores at 810 MHz in the reference design. Comes with 1 GB DDDR3 or GDDR5 (2GB in some custom cards).

If the card was bought retail, it is not a 192 core model, as that is only OEM. All the retail models are 96 cores @ 810 MHz.

Any idea how this performs for light gaming? Also tell your friend to dust his machine, it's filthy in there!

I would hazard a guess at it performing very similarly to a GT430

ATI is a better option in this price range. I never use ATI but in this price range they wins.

clock speed between 430>440 is the only difference (and ddr5 ram if you get a gt440 with it) ; gt 430 has 700 core , gt 440 has 810 core (and option of ddr5)

It's tiny, but the performance is pathetic as well, so what's the big deal? :D Also as far as the card isn't much longer than the mobo is wide, I don't really care... In custom cases that does matter, but in the generic store-bought ones? Naah.

Yeah, the new Nvidia low end stuff is absolute garbage. 640 is miles off of a 450. What happened to it competing with a 460?

    And £80...

    eighty quid...

Sub £100 cards have always been poor value compared to £100-150 cards, and with this being a rebrand of an old, low end chip its hardly surprising they fit it into a tiny board.

Also, i cant tell from the photo if its a true single slot card, does the heatsink interfer with installing another card in the next slot?
