    Hi all

    I have DVI splitter.

I only have one display connect to it and it does not work.

The monitor is on but does not show anything on the display.

    Anyone know anything?

    Jack,

Tried splitting to both at same time.

Did not work on the graphics card's DVI but DP to Active DVI worked. Well very small screen and did not like anything higher than very small resolution.

Where did you get that cable?

I am inclined to believe that the cable you are using is not for connecting two monitors to any graphics card because there is two way communication between the monitor and graphics card. These type of splitters can work with VGA but you usually have to force the resolution and refresh rate because, again, the monitors will be trying to tell the graphics card what resolutions they support. You won't necessarily be able to force it and have it work because the two way communication is mandatory for DVI to work.

I suspect those cables are for specific graphics cards that allow two outputs to share an output by using all pin on a duel link connection to fit two single link DVI connections through a single duel link connection.
