I love finding and using new keyboard shortcuts but I couldn't find a site that lists them for more than one program. I have started to list them out on my website, so far I have covered Windows and Chrome. Please have a look and post any that I have missed here! Or add them for other programs that people might find helpful!

WK+e - starts the Windows Explorer
WK+f - starts the Find in Files dialog
WK+Ctrl+f - starts the Find a Computer on the Network dialog
WK+M - minimizes all the windows to clear the desktop
WK+Shift+M - restores all the minimized windows
WK+r - starts the Run dialog
    WK+F1 - starts Windows Help
    WK+Pause - starts System Properties
Windows Key + TAB: Cycles through the open programs through the taskbar.
If you have multiple windows open, hold down the windows key and tap the TAB key and the computer will cycle through your open windows. This is very similar to using ALT + TAB but without, what I like to call, the “mini window”.

    Alt F4...CLOSES CURRENT WINDOW

    You forgot ctrl+alt+delete. :p

Ctrl +printscreen pastes the entire display to clipboard

Ctrl+ shift + printscreen pastes the active window to clipboard

Ctrl + arrows also advances you to next empty cell in that direction in excel also works for populated cells if the next cell is blank

Substitute home or end for arrows in above and navigation is end to end horizontally

Ctrl + shift + arrows/home/end as above but selects along the way. Also works by the word/line in msword and most notepad editors

Ctrl + page up/down. Navigates pages in excel workbook. Add shift to select multiple sheets and make edits to all at once

Win + L locks the machine

Ctrl + f opens find dialogue

Ctrl + h opens find and replace

Alt + f4 closes active window

Alt + ASCII codes (numlock on and four digit codes entered to numpad) generates symbols. IIRC 0160 is €

    Ctrl + alt + 4 (or e) gives €

All the additions I can think of now without being on the machine. It's all in motor memory

Might not fit your purpose but ctrl plus leftclicks selects mutiple cells in excel. Handy if you want cells that are not next to each other.

Damn you longweight, I'll be thinking of these all night now!

F2 opens rename for icons in windows or steps into edit a cell in excel

Shift + delete in windows bypasses recycle bin

Haha that has been happening to me all weekend! Some of yours are new to me and sound very helpful!

I'm going to add more to the current list and then probably do lists for SFF keyboards such as the Poker, Pure and HHKB. Think that those will be helpful?

Would be interesting to see how many shortcuts require fn layers on pure, poker versus race and choc mini and the like.

F7 is spellchecker. Add shift for thesaurus in word, think it works in outlook too.

F9 is calculate in excel. Handy if like me you have a lot of formulae on one file and a pos corporate laptop.

F4 when you have selected a cell/range in excel cycles through absolute reference options for the selection. (I.e. adds the $ in)
