Just a really quick question, is there any point getting a 2gb 6950 over a 1gb when playing on 1920x1080 res?

I wont be getting a second monitor. Just seen a 6950 1gb for about £130 which is pretty cheap and was thinking about getting one

for £150 god no! i have seen 6950 2gb go for the same new!. also at 1080p i would go for 2gb as you can crossfire as a latter date and not have stuttering problems like i did when i tryed to max crysis on a 560ti 1gb sli.

Still too expensive. The highest price I'd be willing to pay for that would be $150. Or basically less than 100 quid.

A 6950 is a good card, easily worth £130 (new, I presume?). Once you get above £150 though I'd go for a 7850 instead.

The 7850 is a much better card, so if you can hold out for a lower price I would do that.

2GB is more beneficial at resolutions above 1920x1080 only.
1Gb is still enough for 1080p at this current time.
