Graphics Yellow line on my monitor?

I've just turned my computer on and this has appeared on my monitor!
It's present through the bios screen and loading screens and on all applications. Is this a graphics card fault and if so does it mean its buggered?
Or a monitor fault?

Monitor fault.

Usually a problem with the panel itself.

If it has warranty send it for rma.

 

Panel is dying - as mrbungle says, see if you can get an RMA.

 

Ok after turning it off and messing about with cables it seems to have sorted itself out!

It's out of warrantee but when it does finally go, dell here I come

 

Even out of warranty you still have grounds to make a claim. Read my signature thread!

 

Does seem knackered, have you tried another connection other than the one being used right now?

 

Yea that happened to one of mine first a yellow line down one side then a green one down the other
