    what do u guys think... are games like the 1s mentioned in the subject OK 4 a 12 year old 2 play???

    how about hitman 2 and soldier of fortune 2?

    not play perhaps?

    Hitman2 is a great game (I have two copies... for some reason). But again not for a 12yr old (IMHO). I dont know whats good for a 12yr old anymore (all the 12yr olds now speek in l33t speech which is damn annoying and not clever AT ALL, which makes me avoid them like the plague)

    well then i guess im not ur average 12 year old :D. by avoid... i ment like turning off the radio stations in GTA3 and vice city... stuff ike that. i dont care... ill play neways :naughty:.

    Don't worry about the ratings, they put them there so they can sell more copies. :lol:

    I would get stuck into them if I were you, they are Awesome games :thumb:

    im with K on the slapping sideways bit
    rating are there for a reason, same reason there are ratings on films, GTA3 and Hitman2 are blatantly not suitable for a 12 year old in any situation. If i 12 year old would be able to play GTA3 why would a 12 year old not be able to watch Casino or somethgin like that?

    I thought no one below the age of 13 was allowed to sign up to these forums. You might be banned carnut101. :nono:


    Anyway I probably played the original GTA and watched Pulp Fiction when I was about 12 and they didn't do me any harm (as far as I can see). Ratings are to stop people who might be effected negatively by a certain medium. Some games may or may not be suitible for certain people - you can't just tell by their age.

    i didnt really play any games like that when i was 12 cos i think the most violent thing out was prolly doom, and thats nothing compared to teh likes of hitman2 etc. i made sure to get GTA when it game out though but that was later on. at teh end of the day it should be up to kids' parents as to what they are allowed to watch/play, IMO anyway

    i never new there was an age limit on the forums (good thing i lied about me REAL age, <evil laugh>)

    hey, man... im just trying 2 learn stuff about computers and electronics... i saw some cool stuff and metku.net,l started learning about it, and now i want 2 move on 2 more advanced stuff. neways, i talked with RTT, and i think hes ok with it (u r, right?)

    Oh god! the text speech... its infecting us already :rolleyes: :nono:. 2 is a number, to and too are words... use them like their words (unless you count like that... hmm... to plus too equals five)


    I doubt they'd kick you if your 12... what does a 13yr old know that a 12yr old doesnt already know?

    I just wanted to add that I'm sorry if we're sounding harsh on you. We're nice people honestly - I don't mind if you're twelve not thirteen I'm not quite sure why that rule exists. But sometimes you'll get told off for using single letters and numbers instead of words so it's best to type properly around here.

    That never did make much sence....Now you can play a game about one of the bloddiest conflicts in the history of the planet...kill hundreds of people...but you cant play GTA3 and Vice City because they say the F-word and theres a few sexual scenes...

    Good rating system? I think not...Atleast imo

    maybe but graphically GTA3 is much worse. For example in bf1942 when you shoot someone they die, you do not have the abiliy to shoot peoples limbs/heads/family jewels off.

    I too agree.

    Personaly, I don't WANT to be exposed to such crude content as contained in those "M rated" games. I'd rather play Jedi Knight or such...

    And at 12, you shouldn't be exposing yourself to that junk.

    Garbage in, Garbage out is especialy true for people under 18 (believe me)

    We usualy are a nice bunch, but some of us (I'm guilty of this) tend get after those that make their posts "unreadible" either by using the "txt mesgng or "l33t |-| /-\ >< 0 r speak." It is an insult to the english language :p
