Windows GTA3, vice city, battlefield 1942...

sorry, i spend way too much time on AIM... they showed something on TV where teachers were complaining that their students were starting to use 2, r, y, u, etc. in essays... now thats crazy.

i think games are over rated and movies are under rated... i think a game like hitman 2 should be rated T, not M, and that movies like the fast and the furious should be R, not PG-13... <i>thats</i> something someone my age shouldnt be watching.

 

oh, yeah... and about harshness... i dont really care, cuz if ur harsh with me, then i'll just ask you coputer questions until you go crazy .

 

I dunno about some of you but it takes me longer to type l33t and actually read it instead of just typing leet and knowing exactly what it is....

Man whatever happened to games like simcity and such where you actually did something semi constructive....Its all kill kill kill sex sex sex....Its good to break out the old sim city 2000 cd everynow and then and build a huge city, blast of some agridomes, make a few million...

Most places you have to be 18 or older to view porn, shouldn't that apply to porn in computer games?

I am sorry to be so blunt, but there are better things to do than fill your mind with that trash. If you want to blow someone to ashes, Quake 3 or bf1942 works great, you don't need the gore and porn they throw in those games...

Personaly, I think that no one under 18 should be allowed to buy/rent M rated games...

I'm not one of those that thinks that these games are what is causing all the school shootings and youth volience, but I don't think that promoting it is nessasarly a good thing!

I get really annoyed with how movie people think we have such short attention spans that they must throw sex and **** into a movie to spice it up or whatever. I really liked The Matrix Reloaded, but I think that STUPID dance/sex scene was just thrown in for the hell of it. anyone could ahve been able to tel that neo and trinity loved eachother. but getting 10 minutes worth of keano reeves (spelling?) ass was MORE than enough for me. they could have put more actual meat into the story with the time wasted on that scene.

with games like GTA it really depends on the type of person you are. My parents bought me GTA3 (I was 14) and only knew of some of the "bad" stuff in it. Had they known what was in the game and especially the titles of the sections (god i hope my dad doesnt find where i hide that game, he wants to play it might take it away even though im 16 theyre over protective). But then again, they knew i was mature and would be able to handle the content in the game. I'm not gonna go out, carjack some, gun down a pimp, pick up a ho, bomb some coloumbians and then run over some cops from a game. The game s should have had a parent friendly side to it, where parents could set a password to unlock to rude bits.

and now i just lost whatever focus i had... going t sleep now.

There's no actual porn in GTA3 or Vice city. Just quite a few references to hookers and the like. You might see some skimpily clothed dancers and stuff but nothing more. Also they never use the f word... even though it's an 18

 

lol you dont see anything but when you buy the film studio you turn it into a porn studio

tbh i think games are overrated, 18 to play GTA3? bit much really
think probably 14 or 15 is better
and tbh i think that films rated 18 are a bit of a waste of time, im 16 and ive seen loads of 18 films, i dont see why i shouldnt be allowed to go and see them at the cinema
although i think the worst thing with ratings is that bloody 12a business
at least when it was a 12 you didnt get little 8 year olds in, like at X2 the cinema was packed with 8 year old girls and some1 brought their 2 o3 year old in

although SOF2 and SOF are the dirtiest games for being able to blow limbs off
i used to but the cheats on and just go round with the .45 pistol blowing heads off

To be honest I found Sim City 2000 and Theme Hospital a lot more fun and entertaining than Unreal Tournament and first person shooters, although i do love Worms 2

i let my little sister play gta3 for a bit, that was a big mistake.
she took to running people over way to easily.
never again, those ratings are there for a reason.

I disagree with ratings. Just because your average 14 year old is suspectible to getting influenced by violence doesn't mean no 14 year olds can/should play those games.

Games afect each perosn differently. Not all 14 year olds will play GTA3 and be badly influenced, but some 18 year olds will play it and get badly influenced.

With me my parents don't mind "innappropriate" things because they know I am smart enough not to do drugs or kill people. For some people it may be different.

And if you're going to write with numbers do it in a way to be totally humorous. DOn't do half-arsed 1337, either proper english or total 1337.
