This case looks fantastic , its cool that its so small too, and yet you've managed to make it really tidy inside :thumb:

Truely epic mod, and i would agree with a comment above, you could quite easily make some money out of that case design im sure.

Tron.. Hmm, I heard more comments that it's like something from Mass Effect. :hehe:

Yeah, it's NEX-3 and the lense I'm mostly using is F1.8 50mm OSS. I never use flash and tripod very rarely.. Handheld photos all the way. :D

Thanks mate! There are six LEDs behind the logo to light the plastic. Idea was to make light around the logo bright and then it would just fade away going closer to the bottom of the case. But imo it's a bit too blue'ish in the dark. Somehow fading light is harder to make than even light.. Need to do more experiments in the future. :D

Thanks! Oh and by the way maximum dimensions are 410x350x175mm (D x H x W).. Take account angles at back and front and volume is about 22.5 liters. I even think it could be smaller.

Thank you! Hehe, I wasn't originally going to run it open air, but it seemed unnecessary to do another sidepanel.. And that kinda lead to making motherboard cover. I'm happy with that design change. :thumb:

Oh wow, thank you everyone!

Assembly Summer 2012 was a blast! Too much good stuff to list, but I enjoyed every second. :thumb:

System worked great all the time - graphics card could be faster, but it wasn't really a problem with 24" FullHD display. And if someone is interested in temps, here are they. I *think* ambient was around 22°C:
    Idle: CPU 31°C, GPU 39°C
    Load: CPU 47°C, GPU 62°C

I thought Ivy Bridge was meant to be one hot chip? But then again those are at stock clocks.. Need to test overclocking at some point too.

Some more random photos from the Assembly:

Ok, so what's next? Well, there are couple minor things I can improve.. Then I might be able to call it truly finished myself. :p I also started to do some sketches for a new LAN-party case the same day Assembly ended.. And then I fell asleep and slept 14 hours straight. :hehe: But anyway, I think there will be another system for a next year and ZOE will become my HTPC / living room gaming machine.

Oh, and still need to take more photos. Maybe more detail shots and photos of the innards?

That was quite a long post.. :hehe:

    Fantastic.

    Hi,
Stumbled across this work-log / Case-build in the early hours on Linus Tech Tips (http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/the-workbench/build-logs/143065-project-zoe)as could not sleep - just a shame their forum doesn't seem to allow for photos to be attached only their URLs. Anyway:cl after a quick Google search found on bit-tech and - what can be said other than 'Very impressive'. This case-build looks very professional to say the least. Very clean work. Would absolutely love to have building / modding skills like this. Fascinating stuff.
