I don't have many games from my PS1 days, but I still have: All FFs released in Europe (including re-releases of the older ones) Vagrant Story (actually set in the same world as FF12) G Police Spyro games (spyro 2 and 3 are some of the best platform games ever made IMO) Metal Gear Solid Diablo I (yes, they released it on the Ps1 but it's rare) I have a few more though other means now (e.g. Abe games on Steam) I think part of the reason indie/"arcade" games are so popular is they're a lot like the PS1 generation of games
I don't even think I had one proper fight. I just became fixated with that "copy the dummy combo" thing and just spent hours doing that
25 posts with no mention of Rollcage? This must be fixed at once! If you're going to play Wipeout 2097 (best racer ever IMO), go the whole hog and get a neGcon... it's so weird and so yet so right. The floaty ship handling seems to suit the unorthodox controls for some reason. And another shout out for G Police! Mission Briefings are at 0400 hours tomorrow. Good luck out there. Dismissed!
Actually Vagrant story was developed by the same team who developed Tactics; which eventually went on to be in the same world FFXII was set in. If anything, both tactics and FFXII was based on Vagrant story; there are many references to it in FFXII. Vagrant Story was one of the only RPGs on the PS1 worth playing. The FF series was incredibly overrated IMO. I did love G Police as well. Such an underrated game.
Still got my original ps1. Tekken2, tomebraiders, resident evils, wipeout, colin mcrae rally 2 and actua soocer were decent back in the day. Reminded of Colin mcrae no longer with us....shame.
Gran Turismo 1 and 2 were great racing games. Also Digimon Rumble Arena, especially in 2 player mode.
Oh dear... A fresh copy of Time Crisis (I've only got a sealed copy for some reason), Tekken, Tekken 2, Colony Wars, Die Hard Trilogy 2 (only played the 1st one) and Wing Over 2 are on their way! Total cost is <£20 though, thankfully.
Just finished resident Evil 2 and apart from one boss it was certainly a lot easier than I remembered it being. But I was very new to gaming and pretty shite at it. Now I am a more experienced gamer and still shite but hey ho still having fun. Off to start Resident Evil 3 with that scary nemesis guy. Great stuff.
God yes, what a truly epic game that was. No fluff, just driving and cutscenes to string the story together. Broke out my collection at weekend, Driver and Silent Bomber (classic Japanese blow-it-up action) got a good workout.
Epically fun game playing Vs round against a friend I've got a PC version lying around here somewhere, but never got it to work. ------------------- Other Games: Spyro MediEvil Ace Combat Army Men series Chrono Trigger Dave Mirra BMX Digimon World (bite me, I loved the game) Iron Man and X-O Manowar MDK Metal Slug Nuclear Strike Shin Megami Tensei (Digital Devil Saga) Parasite Eve Persona Silent Hill Syphon Filter series Twisted Metal Wing Commander
