    Yes it will be fine. 1.65 is right on the limit of voltage that is allowed. (It's actually not, there just has to be 0.5V or less difference between IMC and RAM voltages :))

    Thanks for the reply. I have just noticed that the Msi support page for this Mmotherboard has two tabs for memory. One is Memory and the other is OC Memory. I found the higher voltage ram listed there. Must open my eyes next time :duh: . Im upgrading from an antique overclocked q9650 with 8 gigs of ddr2 OCZ HPC 1066 ram on an Asus P5K premium black pearl edition and have not kept up with certain aspects of the later generations of hardware. I'm going to remedy that when I overclock this new machine. Thanks again.

    I have the same board anf processor using 8GB G Skills Ripjaws ram
    Runs sweet as a nut at 2133mhz The OC genie on the board is very good

    Q9650 is not that antique and is still a very capable CPU :D. Good luck with your OC mate :thumb:
