A New Case build. Naming it SMALL SQUARE. Small media and file server for home. Thanks for viewing. Rakesh Sharma
Looks OK but as I assumed the paint looks rough. Some advice - the next time you paint MDF get yourself some matt white paint and put on three coats of that, then sand it. It stops the black being absorbed into the wood and you get a proper finish, not a patchy one. Also, the round holes are not round. Get yourself something like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-New-Hol...Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item20b2d0cbb6 Are absolutely fantastic for cutting perfectly round holes.
Some late night Hardware Installation. Case is covered with wood dust.. will clean and post more. Thanks Sir Will do more work in painting the case.. This is still a test fitting.. Will do the paint job ones again.
well since it 'media server' it should have some more places for HDDs. and some cooling for them and instead of painting one can get some vinyl or smth.
Since my whole media collection is less than 500GB.. So this media server will have two 3.5 HDDs ( 2TB and 1TB), one 2.5 HDD (650GB) and one SSD (250GB). Mostly be used for MP3 files streaming few video files too over home network. Vinyl seems good idea. Thanks
This is awesome! Do some cable management and then something like a vinyl wrap and it'll be one of the nicest budget builds I've seen in a while.
