Im thinking to paint them to glossy white, cos im changin the color sceme, so the color doesnt really matter I think Im gonna paint them anyway.
UPDATE! New side panels arrived! Ive just started to attach them to the case, also im started the sanding on the frame and prepare it to paint. There will be a big change in hardware since Asrock showed their new itx X99 board. Here are the panels: And finally the cables: Next step is the painting. You can guess the color from the cables.
Nice to see such a through Ncase M1 mod! I've been thinking about getting one, and wanted to replace the panels as you have. From what I've seen online, the panels attach with welded pins that slot into the frame underneath, how are you intending to secure your new custom panels?
Yes theyre attached with welded pins. Im gonna install them with screws. To install them with screws i need to drill some holes and insert some screnuts into them. Here is a picture what kind of nuts im gonna use:
The sides look tidy... Are you going to make the rest of the white cable like the left side of it, or can't you use the alignment plastic things due to how the cable needs to go in the case?
Im gonna use cable combs everywhere. There is no need to install them to the other side because they'll be hidden anyway, If i instal them to the psu side i cant hide the cabeles behind the psu but ts gonna be a hard anyway. Ill try to hide most of the cables.
Love the look of the panels, plus the cables, they look great, see you put the cable combs in, they have a nice effect. Look forward to the next update.
