    Whole (short) article from the BBC:

    "Virtual theft is as bad as pilfering in the real world.
    So said the jury in a mock trial held at the Black Hat Conference of net security professionals in Las Vegas.

    The jury heard the case for and against a hacker who destroyed the possessions of a character in an online world and said the loss of the goods constituted real damage.

    The jury also did not accept defense counsel arguments that the difficulty of bringing such cases to court should deter people from mounting prosecutions.
