Well, yesterday, we had a little bit of a get together for the lovely chaps that moderate these forums. In attendance : Haz, Goo, Spike, RTT, Will, Phat and K. Mwahahah.. now that I am safe at home and have scrubbed off that Birmingham air *shudders* here's the account of the day... We all arrive @ New Street Station and decide that the best course of action was to find a pub.. (as you do) We found a pub called RSVP and settled in.. it was at this point where the competitions began and we all had a round courtesy of the google ads we all started talking about different things and having a general laugh. It was at which point Haz decided to impersonate a certain journalist.. www.oakmere.nildram.co.uk/bit/meet/hazimpression.mpeg shortly afterwards Haz and K took out their shiny new 15GB iPOD's, (jealousy time) and Haz noticed K wasn't using the standard headphones so Haz had a go and was greatly impressed... infact, one of the days Quotes was born at this moment. we eventually went on to a Wetherspoons to grab some munch... after we sat down we noticed that RTT was missing... jokingly I said, oh he's probably been chucked out.... seconds later Haz's phone rings... it was Rich... and yes.. he was stood outside with the bouncers not letting him in.... so GOO goes out and pretends to be Rich's father... still no avail. So we walk out, but as we walk out we notice anther door without bouncers... in we go... including Rich. After the food the stress of been amongst us was getting to Haz, a quick fix later.... and he was ok... (ok it's salt, and Haz nearly cried when a single grain got sucked up his nostril... ) so we started having some fun, then one of the waiters asks rich. "Do you have I.D?" and goes on about how 18 year olds aint allowed in, but we can stay till our food digests... oh how kind. In the meantime we had placed a coin, loads of salt and a load of pepper into a small Vase, and dared Will to drink it for a Video Card.... HE DID!!! Que very loud laughing and cries to the tune of "oh my god!" "I can't believe he did it etc" So then we went to a Forbidden Planet shop and K's favourite record shop (although he'd left by then) and then while passing RSVP we noticed it had Pool Tables and went back in, this is where we spent pretty much the rest of the afternoon/evening playing pool for prizes etc... GOO was adamant of winning at pool, hence the "concentration expression" now I'm not a huge pool player, and was well peeved off after potting the black thinking I'd won, only for the white to go in after it... doh! so we played some more, I beat GOO and Will at foozball and drew with Haz (only cos he span!) On our way back to the station we had some fun with the camera... pictures you may well see some day... then we all went our different ways, I went back to the hotel and watched Lake Placid.... it sucked. and that was the August Mod meet of 2003.

Although I unfortunately had to depart very early, I had a great time. Would definitely like to get together some other time too Obviously no one was listening to me when I walked in to RSVP and said '...also there's pool tables over that-a-way *points*'

Haz I think Well when I bought my round in the afternoon he had moved onto Lemon and Lime but tbh everyone drank pretty much the same, apart from Spike who was driving back so 'twas Coke for him....
