I was thinking about ordering a Crystalfontz LCD, since it is pretty cheap compared to the 70 dollar ones. But I was wondering, what make the more expensive ones... more expensive?

Also, what is needed to install one? Any guides?

If you want to know why a $79 LCD is worth $79 check http://www.icehardware.net/reviews/graphiclcd/ and http://www.icehardware.net/guides/col_lcd_mod/update/

Custom startup screens, GPO's, keypads... read MO's website www.matrixorbital.com - obviously they tell you what they're capable of :D

If you buy cheap you'll only regret it when you see pics of nice LCD's :)

    Cheers,

    r.

They're worth the extra - trust me :)

    Cheers,

    r.

p.s. the only cheap displays from CF are their parallel one anyway and wiring is a hassle (I've seen three CF displays broken due to wrong wiring now and i haven;t seen many CF displays!).
