got a old monitor that I wanted to use to throw teamspeak onto, or youtube videos whilst doing other stuff

however, it will not work on windows, when booting up the bios displays on it correctly, and it works fine in ubuntu , however, windows keeps giving me this on/off response (crappy video I know, but demonstrates waht it does constantly) (ignore screen resizing, just needed it to load something to the other screen)

Have you confirmed that the monitor works with another PC?

Trying setting Windows to "Extend desktop" to second monitor and see what happens.

Windows knows how to work with multiple monitors with no problems so for sure, this is either a graphics driver problem, or graphics hardware problem.

done that, no luck there either

fairly certain its nvidia drivers, as it works fine on ubuntu so the hardware works fine
