It's been a while since I checked it last time - are there any mech keyboards out that are white/beige, apart of Topre Realforce or Filco?

I got my K65 up and running yesterday. What can I say about MX Reds? Meh.

Look on eBay for a G80-3000 (or G80-1800 if you want a more compact layout), they come in beige and are pretty good quality whilst still being reasonably cheap. There are also Pokers that come in white (pretty sure both the PokerII and Pok3r), HHKB and I think Leopold might do a white board as well come to think of it, but I'm not sure...

And yeah, reds are pretty low down on my list of favourite things...

Nothing really new, but I finally made an inline TMK converter for my Apple M0110:

The keyboard is yellowed, but it really matches the yellow from the ball (which is original colour). Next step it to make a definitive cable using a smaller AVR and a nicely sleeved cable.

That's a really nice set up there.

I did a bit of a halfway house between in-line and a converter dedicated box for my ADB converter, partly because I don't trust the cheapy S-video sockets I got off of ebay or the micro USB socket on the Pro-Micro for repeated insertions but mainly because I'm lazy and couldn't find my hole cutter.

This is it open, it obviously has a little lid (it's one of these) and sits quite nicely out of the way behind my board. Also, forgive the mess, this was in full on "project" mode...

Anybody interested in an IBM Model M (1391406)?

One is being sold locally for £20, I'm happy to grab it and forward it on for the same plus cost of postage. It looks to be in decent condition, and is reportedly working just fine.

New Vortex PBT caps, unfortunately there was a mix up and I am missing one. :-(

Picked it up today - just trying out some vintage buckling spring action :)

It looks in very good condition and, apart from a bit of the space bar and right shift key theres hardly any shine on the caps. I don't think it's seen a lot of action. The detachable PS2 casble is in nice condition too.

Now I need to find a box for the damned thing.

Happy to reimburse you whatever postage/packaging costs it'll incur; drop me a PM once you know what it'll cost. Much obliged for sorting this out for me :) :thumb:

To be honest I'd have been happy regardless of the condition of the caps; a replacement set from Unicomp is only about $20/$30 IIRC. It'll be good to have a slightly more modern Model M than the one I have now, which has its quirks and annoyances.

    Awwww yes.

It's got proper legends, it's laid out like it should be, the springs are most definitely stiffer, and I can't see any wear on the caps at all. I haven't checked the plastic rivets yet - I'll strip it down for a clean on Sunday - but I don't think I'll have a problem.

Judging by the grey-on-white label and birth certificate it seems this one was manufactured by IBM and not Lexmark.

Top marks to Spreadie! +rep :)

Amazing condition for almost 25 years old! If I had the space on my desk I'd consider it.

Great model M, similar to mine just a few months apart. Did they EVER get those stickers straight? [emoji14]

    Hi all,

I have a K70 RGB on its way to me, I already have some odd keycaps to change
but i've found some that I really like but i'm unsure of how to get them/can't find
them from anywhere in the UK. :(
Does anyone know somewhere that may have them - it is these caps - Vortex White Translucent Doubleshot backlit PBT + POM Keycaps - 104 Keycaps for Mechanical Keyboards (cherry switches compatible).

The ones on the Amazon US site won't ship to me in the UK. And i've not been able to find them anywhere that will. Wondered if any of you know of somewhere?

Also, is the Ducky Shine 4 as hard to get caps for as corsairs keyboards?

Thanks for any help in advance guys. :)
