Hi guys I've just started an upgrade to my previous build "Primo Midas" which was based on an Asus X79 Deluxe. Rig was built with Folding@Home and BONIC use in mind. I had a moment off madness and have not bought the following. Motherboard: Asus Z10PE-D8-WS (Dual Socket) CPU's : Dual Intel Xeon V3 2.2Ghz 14 Core (Engineering samples) Memory: Crucial CT4K8G4RFS4213 288 Pin 32GB (8GB x4) CL15 DDR4 DIMM Memory Module Kit Plextor : M.2 2280 SSD 256GB Model PX-G256M6e Here's how my rig looked yesterday morning... before I begun the upgrade Now some work after having tested my new parts. Here was my test rig using old CM Stacker removable MB tray. That's it for the moment, I want to get it back under water next. I have dual Nvidia 780Ti's which I will be using again. I also now have a second cpu water block, however its an EK Supremacy EVO Gold, my original block is the non EVO version and they do look slightly different. Will get some pics for you all soon. I hope you like, obviously she's looking a bit untidy atm but I've had it running since putting into my Primo Enthoo. I wanted to play safe and make sure everything was working after moving into the case, that's why I kept it on air for the time being.
EPICNESS!!!! Good to see you building Colin! Are you going to swap that yellow sleeving for vanille or goldish? Your previous build looks really nice man. But DAT DUAL SOCKET MOBO omnomnomnom Subbed for sure!!
Thanks for following Waterblocks are on, but busy day with other things. Supremacy Supremacy EVO Together
Sorry its been a while been very busy renovating an old property. Anyway I have made slow progress but finding it rather difficult learning how to bend the hardline nicely. Anyway here are some images. The ram gets Midas Touch Hardline, first ever attempt Harline, second attempt (had to redo a few times) Working on something for the ssd's (old images) That's all I have for now as back working abroad, sorry its going so slow.
Well I finally finished, however my hardline plan did not go well when the collars cracked and leaked. Thankfully no damage was done, I went back to soft tubing to get the build finished and running again. Its busy working on some BONIC and Fold@Home stuff and is awesome at crunching through it. The full Album is public here --->>> http://imgur.com/a/0bURH
Like I told you; some sand sleeving to replace the yellow and it will be even more amazing than it already it. I really like it. It breathes power! But you managed to keep it clean.
Thanks very much, considering how pro your build are I appreciate the comments. Tim you are an inspiration, if I could do half the stuff you do I'd be satisfied, thanks for all the help and advice you give so freely. Yes Vanilla Sands one day, when I stop BONIC long enough
Looks great, even the soft tube! maybe the hard cracking was a good thing in the end making me want to go with black water now.
