Just bought a brand new home. Watched it rise from the mud. Finally moved in and the family are over the moon. Problem is with Broadband Only BT is available in the new estate and I took a offer with SKY for BB & TV. The annoying factor is that I can only get a max of 3MB. Recently I've learned that only 4 houses out of 74 in the build has been selected for fiber trials. These trials have been going on for months apparently. I ring BT for updates but the script kiddies don't know the answer. Somebody somewhere within BT must be monitoring those 4 houses. Question I have is when BT laid the cables for the new estate then why wasn't fiber enabled then? Question how long do the trials last Question could somebody please make this a happy household As you can imagine 3 kids a wife All wanting a piece of that 3MB Here's hoping for some good news PS. I'll pm the post-code if any body within BT can investigate for me. Thanks Steve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think you might get more luck* posting this on the British Telecom forums, rather than the Bit Tech forums, but there you go. *You won't of course, their end user support is abysmal and they tell the public very little about what's going on behind the scenes.
It is so frustrating. What I can't understand is why BT can't install fiber straight away? Why would you want to go back to the site a second time ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
