These last couple of days on all the comps on my network i've been getting random "Page cannot be displayed" errors on IE. (both using XP) click refresh and it loads the website. It seems completely random. It even does it on Bit :(
I'm using a Speedtouch Router with BT openworld Broadband. Is this a BT issue? On their website it does say that they've been closing some ports because of the blaster virus but i can't see why that would cause this problem.

Does anyone know of this problem and a fix?

    Thanks

    JB

Could be the heat. I've been having problems with nodes in my network dropping off the face of the earth.

I personally think its the blaster and it is friends, I have the same problem and I'm BT too. It looks like the FBI have found someone in the blaster chain that modded the orignal blaster I hope they send him down for a long time thats the only way to teach these little sh1ts.

hrm.. no problems with my dsl here.. although I've been watching my logs and see a LOT of blocked ICMP attempts as well as port 137-139 UDP packets..

my guess is all the recent virii and worms going about..

I was getting the same problem, until I did the following:

Cleared out temp internet files, history, cookies, regular old temp, all that other temp junk.

    Rebooted

    ipconfig /flushdns

    reboot router and access point

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns (just because :p)

And all works great now. I am not sure what solved the problem, but that is the regular pattern I use to attempt fixing network problems of any kind...

The heat is one factor (on my network at least, my access point has been going bonkers because of it), and that blasted virus is another thing making things more complex :(

I'm guessing that you have already tried the above, but thought I'd try and help ;)
