First part of mod to front complete. What do you think?
the rest of it will be completed in a week or so and will replace the door.

No, I had thought of that but am planning on the top being rather complex and figured I'd let the bottom go with being open.

Just when you think every possible mod to a cheiftech/antec front panel has been done - someone comes along and ups the ante.

    Very nicely exicuted. :thumb:

Looking nice! Are you going to keep the alu slats theme throughout the case? Would look spinkee if you had them on the side and top as well I think :)

Yes they are aluminum. I plan to continue them up the front and hopefully accross the side, and if that goes well the top also.

Pranks7er - If my friend can get me a selenoid small enough I will have them open and close.

This is what I have planned for the upper half of the front. Still working out how to make it raise and lower.

Yep door go bye bye. I hope I can get it to match the contours of the original door.

You could always use the door as a template, and bend it over the door.

You could always create a wood template out of scrap wood to match the contour/radius of the door. Then just bend the metal sheets over the wood for a perfect match.

The pieces will have to be smaller than the actual door.

looks very nice... do you have any info or pics on the progress of how you did it? would be kind of interesting to see it step by step as it looks like you did a very clean job so far.

    keep on modding...
